HoSze Chang 蔣浩思 is a Hong Konger based in London. She grew up on the tranquil coast of the world’s most restless city, Hong Kong — a place that taught her the delicate art of detached observation.

As an artist with Aphantasia, HoSze cannot internally visualize faces, places, or memories. When an experience triggers a profound sensory response, she cannot rely on mental recall. Instead, she must externalize these fleeting perceptions onto paper — translating raw, invisible emotion into tangible, physical marks.

The meticulous layering of her lines is how she arrives at clarity. The vast white space is its opposite — the part of the ocean she cannot yet read.
